Where Heritage Meets Hospitality

Atelya Art Hotel blends 19th-century Ottoman grandeur with quiet Mediterranean elegance. Set in a beautifully restored mansion in Kaleiçi with stone walls, vine-draped courtyards, and a serene pool, it offers an atmospheric stay in the historic heart of Antalya.

Living Masterpiece in the Heart of Kaleiçi

Stepping through the grand entrance of Atelya Art Hotel feels less like checking into a hotel and more like uncovering a well-preserved piece of Antalya history. Housed inside a meticulously restored 19th-century Ottoman mansion, the property preserves the soul of the old city while offering a sophisticated refuge for modern travelers.

The architecture tells a story in every corner. Massive stone walls, original structural timbers, and soaring ceilings echo the residential design of a bygone era, where homes were built to keep the summer heat at bay. Unlike generic luxury resorts, the character here is distinctly localized.

Hand-woven traditional textiles, classic Turkish carpets, and curated local artwork decorate the communal spaces, seamlessly linking cultural heritage with refined comfort. It is an immersive environment designed for travelers who want to truly feel the destination they are visiting, rather than just look at it through a window.

Restored Ottoman Guestrooms

To stay at Atelya Art Hotel is to experience the architectural brilliance of the Ottoman era firsthand. Each room is completely unique, laid out to respect the original architectural footprint of the historical mansion rather than conforming to a standardized hotel template. This preservation yields rooms filled with individual quirks, deep window alcoves, and unmatched spatial elegance.

Inside, the design centers around rich textures and natural materials. Exposed timber ceiling beams, beautifully polished original hardwood floors, and thick stone walls offer natural soundproofing and a comforting, grounded feel. Carefully chosen antique furnishings and hand-knotted Turkish rugs showcase local craftsmanship, while large windows allow natural Mediterranean light to filter softly across the room.

However, historical integrity does not come at the expense of luxury. The hotel has seamlessly integrated modern essentials into every room. Guests will find whisper-quiet air conditioning (vital for those warm Antalya summer nights), high-speed Wi-Fi, and updated en-suite bathrooms equipped with premium fixtures and locally sourced olive oil toiletries. It is a space designed for deep, restorative rest—offering a quiet, cool haven where you can fully unwind after a day of exploration.

Curated Services for an Authentic Stay

The experience at Atelya Art Hotel is defined by its thoughtful amenities, offering a seamless blend of historical charm and modern relaxation. Every service is designed to complement the tranquil atmosphere of the property, providing a private sanctuary away from the energetic streets of the old city.

The Swimming Pool

In the center of the property lies a pristine outdoor swimming pool, framed by ancient stone walls and lush greenery. It provides a rare and refreshing escape from the Mediterranean heat, allowing guests to swim or lounge on the sunbeds in complete privacy.

The contrast between the cool, clear water and the warm tones of the surrounding historic masonry creates a visually striking and deeply relaxing setting. The pool area functions as a quiet retreat after a long day of walking through ancient ruins, where the sound of gently rippling water provides a soothing soundtrack to an afternoon of absolute downtime under the southern sun.

Pristine Buffet Breakfast

Morning at the hotel begins with a rich, open-buffet breakfast served in the courtyard. The spread highlights the best of traditional Turkish culinary culture, featuring fresh locally sourced cheeses, green and black olives, artisanal jams, freshly baked bread, and seasonal fruits.

Paired with freshly brewed Turkish tea or robust coffee, it offers an authentic and nourishing start to a day of exploration. Every dish reflects the culinary heritage of the region, ensuring that dining is not just a morning routine, but a genuine cultural introduction to the rich flavors and hospitality that define local lifestyle traditions.

The Garden and Courtyard

The central courtyard is the true soul of Atelya Art Hotel. Shaded by vibrant orange trees, jasmine vines, and Mediterranean flora, this open-air space features a historic draw well that anchors the property in its past.

Furnished with comfortable seating, the garden serves as a quiet sanctuary where guests can read, enjoy a drink, or simply listen to the gentle rustle of leaves in an atmosphere of absolute peace.

As day turns to night, the courtyard transforms with soft, warm lighting, creating an enchanting environment where travelers from across the globe gather to share stories under the starlit sky.

Authentic Reviews from Guests

To truly understand the magic of Atelya Art Hotel, one only has to listen to those who have crossed its threshold. Guests consistently praise the hotel’s ability to transport them to another era while making them feel entirely at home.

Located within the heart of the old town you will need the ear plugs that are left for you in the room, that aside this is a wonderfully old, small family run hotel with big ambitions and is a real oasis of calm during the day and into the evening. The breakfast is much better than reviews would suggest, and the staff go out of the way to offer support and suggestions on your stay. Highly recommend if planning a stay in Antalya.

A great hotel in the Old Town. Everything about it is perfect: a small but cozy pool with sun loungers, an authentic interior reminiscent of old Turkish houses. The rooms are large, and for the Old Town, they are truly large. It's a fantastic place to dine, and eating in the shade of a lime tree with two turtles darting back and forth is very atmospheric. A picturesque hotel. But the biggest plus is Hussein. He's an incredibly pleasant man who will help you and tell you everything you need to know. Hussein is the jewel of the hotel, a perpetually positive person.

Loved this hotel, so vintage felt like a Villa in Italy. It is an older heritage building so there is an old world charm. We were there for 2 nights and enjoyed our time. They do need to spend some money renovating the rooms. They could use an update. Service was good, overall room was pleasant. The location is perfect, close to the most amazing restaurants, cafes and shopping. Definitely recommend it!
