Bargozzy opened its doors on January 1st, 2025, but the story began long before that — in kitchens and boardrooms.

The two founders, Chef Mustafa Kığılcım and Kaan Baran, are old friends who brought together over 27 years of combined experience in gastronomy and business.

Chef Mustafa honed his skills at Michelin-starred and internationally acclaimed venues like Mikla, Mürver, Spago, and Zuma Dubai.

Kaan, with 15 years of restaurant management under his belt, finally took the leap with Mustafa to create a place of their own — a pizza place unlike any other in Istanbul.

Ingredients That Speak for Themselves

At Bargozzy, every bite tells a story — and that story begins with premium sourcing:

🔹 Braised beef and Turkish spicy fermented sausage from Yenice Village in Kırklareli
🔹 Tenderloin and short ribs from Istanbul’s legendary Pırlanta Kasap
🔹 Olive oil from Kürşat Eminali’s grove in Ayvalık
🔹 Tomatoes sourced from small-scale farmers in Balıkesir

These aren’t just ingredients; they’re the building blocks of flavor chosen with the precision of a sommelier selecting wines.

Not Your Nonna’s Pizza — And That’s the Point

Bargozzy is here to break the triangle of tomato, basil, and cheese and create something globally inspired and deeply local. Some highlights from their ever-evolving menu:🔹Truffle Royal: Chestnut mushrooms, oyster mushrooms, and truffle oil. The oyster mushrooms are deglazed in French style, in buttery perfection, until crispy. A luxury on dough.

🔹Asian Fusion Pizza: Sweet soy glaze, chili oil, and cilantro — think Bangkok meets Napoli.

🔹Annemin Reçeli: A heartwarming nod to Turkish tradition. Stracciatella cheese, basil, sour cherry jam — a poetic balance between savory and sweet, inspired by İzmir’s Tire.
