Discover the best of the Lycian Coast in just two days: start in Antalya, visit Phaselis and Demre, cruise the Sunken City of Kekova, overnight in Kaş, then continue to UNESCO-listed Xanthos–Letoon and the hilltop citadel of Tlos.

Just like all our private tours, every itinerary is completely customizable. And here’s the 2-day itinerary for the Southwest parts of Antalya in which we immerse ourselves in the immense Lycian heritage of the region.

  • Antalya hotel pickup → smooth start with private vehicle

  • Phaselis Ancient City: three natural harbors, Roman theatre & pine-framed beaches

  • Myra, Demre: iconic Lycian rock-cut tombs and grand Roman theatre

  • St. Nicholas Church (optional): mosaics & frescoes of the historic “Santa Claus”

  • Kekova Boat Cruise: glide above the Sunken City, swim stop (weather-permitting)

  • Kaleköy (Simena) landing: castle views, stone lanes, local ice cream

  • Overnight in Kaş: charming old town, sunset promenade by the harbor

  • Free morning in Kaş: coffee, quick dip, or lazy brunch with sea views

  • UNESCO Xanthos–Letoon: Harpy Tomb, Inscribed Pillar, temples of Leto–Apollo–Artemis

  • Tlos fortress & acropolis: cliff tombs, theatre, sweeping valley panoramas

  • Fethiye hotel drop-off: relaxed finish, early evening arrival

Starts: Antalya hotel (08:30 pickup)
Ends: Fethiye hotel (evening drop-off)

Why you’ll love it

From Roman harbors tucked into pine forests to Lycian cliff tombs and a sunken city you’ll glide over by boat—this route strings together the very best of the Lycian Coast. Day 1 moves along the shoreline (Phaselis → Demre → Kekova boat with Kaleköy/Simena stop) and settles into Kaş for the night. Day 2 cruises inland through UNESCO sites (Xanthos–Letoon) and finishes above the plains at the fortress city of Tlos, before an easy roll into Fethiye.

Day 1- Antalya → Phaselis → Demre (Myra) → Çayağzı → Kekova Boat → Kaş (Overnight)

09:30–10:30 Phaselis Ancient City

  • Three natural harbors, Roman theatre, colonnaded street, pine-shaded beach coves.

  • Easy strolls; quick photo stops or a short swim in warm months (time permitting).

10:30–11:45 Drive Phaselis → Demre (Myra)

11:45–12:30 Myra Rock Tombs & Roman Theatre

  • Iconic Lycian façade tombs hewn into the cliff; grand 2nd-century theatre.

12:35–13:15 St. Nicholas Church (Demre) (optional but recommended)

  • Mosaics, frescoes, and the story behind the historical Saint Nicholas.

13:20–14:05 Lunch break in Demre

  • Fresh meze & grilled fish/chicken/meat options. (Vegetarian options available.)

14:30–16:30 Kekova Boat Tour (Private or Shared) + Kaleköy (Simena)

  • Depart Çayağzı harbor. Glide over the Sunken City (Batıkşehir) and Tersane Bay.
  • Swim stop at Aquarium/Camel or Shipyard Bay (season/weather-permitting).
  • Kaleköy (Simena) landing: 45–60 min to walk lanes, taste local ice cream, or climb to the hilltop castle for a sweeping view of Kekova.

16:30–17:00 Çayağzı→ Kaş (drive)
17:00+ Check-in: Kaş hotel (TBD)

  • Free evening in Kaş: harbor promenade, old town lanes, sunset drinks at the amphitheater or a rooftop.

Day 2 Kaş (Free Morning) → Xanthos → Letoon → Tlos → Fethiye (Drop-off)

Morning Free time in Kaş

  • Suggestions: Çukurbağ peninsula views, old bazaar coffee, quick dip at İnceboğaz or Küçük Çakıl (seasonal), or simply a lazy brunch by the marina.

12:00 Depart Kaş → Xanthos (~45 min)

12:45–13:45 Xanthos (UNESCO)

  • Capital of ancient Lycia; Harpy Tomb, Inscribed Pillar, necropolis & agora.

  • Brief historical orientation so the site “clicks” when you walk it.

13:55–14:35 Letoon Sanctuary (UNESCO) (10–15 min from Xanthos)

  • Temples of Leto, Apollo, Artemis; inscriptions that helped decode the Lycian language.

14:35–15:15 Drive Letoon → Tlos

  • Cliff-side tombs, stadium, theatre, and panoramic views over the Xanthos Valley.

16:15–17:00 Tlos → Fethiye (easy countryside drive)
~17:00–17:30 Drop-off at your Fethiye hotel

  • End of services.
