Continue to Bursa: Ulu (Grand) Mosque, Silk Market, old bazaars, Green Mosque & Mausoleum.

Day 4 – Bursa • Aizanoi • Kütahya • Afyon
Leave the coast and head into inner Anatolia.

Drive south to Aphrodisias, a stunning, lesser-known archaeological site.
Explore the Temple of Aphrodite, huge stadium, theater and marble-filled agora.
Continue via the Meander Valley to the Aegean coast and Kuşadası.
Overnight in Kuşadası.
Day 7 – Ephesus, Virgin Mary & Şirince
Visit the House of the Virgin Mary on Mount Koressos.
Explore Ephesus: Library of Celsus, Marble Street, Temple of Hadrian, Great Theater and more.
Head to Şirince village for hillside views, local wines and traditional houses.
Visit the Basilica of St. John and viewpoint towards the former Temple of Artemis site.
Return to Kuşadası.

Day 8 – Kuşadası • Pergamon • Assos
Travel north along the Aegean coastline.

Day 1 – Arrival in Istanbul
Meet your private driver at the airport and transfer to your hotel in the old city or Beyoğlu area, the modern center of contemporary Istanbul, depending on your preference. Free time to rest, adjust and start exploring the neighborhood at your own pace.
Day 2 – Classic Istanbul: Sultanahmet

Continue to Bursa, the first capital of the Ottoman Empire:

Day 4 – Bursa • Aizanoi • Kütahya • Afyon
Today you leave the coast behind and head into the interior of Anatolia.
Visit Aizanoi, one of the best-preserved Roman temple complexes in Asia Minor, with its impressive Temple of Zeus, theater and stadium sitting back-to-back.
Continue to Kütahya, famous for its handmade tiles and ceramics. Short walk in the old quarter and time to see local workshops if you wish.
Arrive in Afyon in the late afternoon, known for its thermal springs and traditional architecture.

Day 5 – Afyon • Yazılıkaya (Midas City) • Pamukkale
Drive through the Phrygian countryside to Yazılıkaya, sometimes called the “City of Midas”. Here you’ll see rock-cut façades, ancient inscriptions and cult sites dedicated to the Mother Goddess Cybele.
Continue to Pamukkale, where mineral-rich waters have created the famous white travertine terraces. Depending on arrival time, you can enjoy a first walk around the terraces or relax at your spa hotel.
Day 6 – Pamukkale & Hierapolis • Aphrodisias • Kuşadası
Morning visit of Hierapolis, the ancient spa city above the terraces:
Necropolis and ancient streets
Roman theater
Archaeology museum (time permitting)
Free time to walk barefoot along sections of the travertines
Then drive south to Aphrodisias, one of Turkey’s most beautiful and lesser-known archaeological sites. Visit Karahayıt or explore the Temple of Aphrodite, the massive stadium, theater and marble-filled agora.
By late afternoon continue through the Meander Valley to the Aegean coast and the resort town of Kuşadası.

Day 7 – Ephesus, Virgin Mary & Şirince
A full day dedicated to Ephesus and its surroundings:

Village of Şirince, known for its hillside houses and local wines
Basilica of St John and a viewpoint towards the former site of the Temple of Artemis
Return to Kuşadası in the late afternoon.

Day 8 – Kuşadası • Pergamon • Assos
Head north along the Aegean coast.
Stop at Pergamon, the dramatic hilltop city once home to a great library and healing center:
Acropolis of Pergamon with its steep theater and ruined temples
Asclepion, the ancient medical sanctuary
Continue along the coast to Assos (Behramkale), a stone-built village overlooking the island of Lesvos. Walk around the old streets and visit the hilltop Temple of Athena if you like.
Check into a characterful stone hotel near the ancient harbor or village.

Day 9 – Assos • Troy • Return to Istanbul
Drive to the legendary city of Troy, with its multiple layers of settlement and stories that inspired Homer’s Iliad. After your guided visit, cross the Dardanelles by ferry and continue back towards Istanbul.
If you wish, you can add a short stop on the Gallipoli peninsula to visit one or two key memorials (extra driving time, but possible on a private basis).
Arrive in Istanbul in the evening.
