Aliée Istanbul: A Paris Society Collection Hotel

Where Parisian Refinement Meets Ottoman Heritage

Looking for more than just a bed in Istanbul? Opened in summer 2025 at Tersane Istanbul on the Golden Horn, Aliée Istanbul is the debut hotel venture from the acclaimed Paris Society. It redefines luxury on the city’s skyline: part neighbourhood hangout, part wellness sanctuary, and part gastronomic destination.

Table of Contents

Golden Horn’s Newest Waterfront Sanctuary

Resting on the shimmering waterfront where Ottoman sultans once built their naval fleets, Aliée Istanbul breathes magnificent new life into the city’s historic shipyard district. The grand opening transformed centuries-old industrial heritage into a beacon of modern architectural refinement.

Step inside to discover a sophisticated aesthetic where chic European minimalism meets local craftsmanship. Each of the bespoke rooms and suites showcases exposed brickwork framed by sweeping floor-to-ceiling windows, complemented by plush velvet textiles and artisanal ceramics from Turkish masters.

The vibrant energy of the property extends to its outdoor terraces, where fashionable crowds gather for waterside cocktails and sunset views. By day, visitors can recharge inside a sprawling subterranean bathhouse featuring ancient stone vaults, creating an exclusive oasis away from the urban bustle.

The Location

Quick Fact: Guests can arrive by private boat directly to the waterfront, bypassing road traffic entirely. It sets the tone from the moment you check in.

Aliée Istanbul sits on the shores of the Golden Horn, the natural inlet that has shaped Istanbul’s history and skyline for millennia. The setting within Tersane Istanbul — a vast cultural and hospitality complex built on a former Ottoman shipyard — is dramatic. Historic stone buildings, open waterways, and manicured gardens surround the property, giving it a sense of scale that few city hotels can match.

  1. Galata Tower: Located within 1.1 miles of the property.

  2. Cultural Hubs: Just a short distance from Galataport, Istanbul Modern, and the Rahmi Koç Museum.

  3. Istiklal Street: Istanbul’s famous pedestrian shopping and entertainment avenue is roughly 2 miles away.

  4. Istanbul Airport: Easily accessible at approximately 22 miles from the hotel.

The Rooms

Verenda Suite
Atrium Chambre
Lumière Chambre

Aliée Istanbul has 122 individually designed rooms and suites spread across four distinct buildings on the property: Foundry, Casthouse, Atelier, and the Heritage Villa — a converted historic Turkish bath reimagined as an opulent private villa.

With 18 room categories available, there is a configuration for most types of travellers, from solo stays and couples to groups and digital nomads who want space to work as well as unwind.

Rooms come with air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, a seating area, safety deposit box, coffee machine, and an iPad. Bathrooms include a bidet, hairdryer, and slippers.

The design across all four buildings draws on Istanbul’s layered identity — historic architecture meeting contemporary interiors — rather than opting for the generic international luxury aesthetic. Each accommodation feels connected to its building’s specific character.

The Heritage Villa is worth calling out as a standalone experience: a private Turkish bath converted into a villa is the kind of detail that only works when the bones of the building are genuinely extraordinary, and this one is.

The Dining Experience

Lokanta 1741 culinary

Paris Society built its reputation on food and atmosphere, and Aliée Istanbul reflects that pedigree with one of the most ambitious dining programmes of any hotel in the city. There are nine distinct venues across the property, each with its own personality.

Pink Bar
Swim Club

Hasbahçe serves Neapolitan pizza with Turkish inflections, al fresco among blooming hydrangeas with views of the Golden Horn. The Pink Bar is built around cocktail craftsmanship, with signature drinks timed to Istanbul’s famously vivid sunsets.

The Wine Bar offers a more restrained setting — a drawing-room-style space with local and global wines paired with artisan cheese boards. The Aliée Swim Club runs a champagne and cocktail menu by the water’s edge for poolside afternoons.

Well+ Lounge takes things in an entirely different direction, with a dedicated team of tea sommeliers curating selections to individual preferences.

For a hotel, this is an unusually strong food-and-drink offering. Several of the venues are already attracting Istanbul locals — never a bad sign.

Wellness: Aliée Well+

Well+ Spa

The wellness offering is arguably Aliée Istanbul’s most distinctive feature. Aliée Well+ spans 4,000 square metres across three floors of heritage buildings, making it one of the largest hotel spa facilities in Istanbul. The design draws on the city’s own hammam tradition while layering in broader wellness modalities.

Aliée Well+ Active is the fitness studio, combining retro-inspired design with current equipment and expert trainers.

The Well+ Lounge tea programme sits within this ecosystem too, framing tea as part of a broader restorative ritual rather than just a drink option.

Guests who have stayed consistently rate the wellness facilities as among the best they have encountered in Istanbul — and given the standard of competition in the city, that is a meaningful distinction.

Aliée Istanbul suits travellers who want their hotel to be a destination in its own right — not just a base for sightseeing. The dining programme alone could fill several evenings without needing to leave the property.

The wellness facilities reward guests who stay long enough to use them properly. The location on the Golden Horn is atmospheric and convenient for the city’s cultural highlights, though it is not in the thick of Beyoğlu or Sultanahmet in the way that some other luxury properties are.

It is also worth noting that several of Aliée’s venues — particularly the pools, dining rooms, and bars — are open to non-guests and Istanbul locals. The hotel is positioning itself as part of the city’s social fabric, not a sealed-off retreat, which gives it an energy that purely self-contained properties sometimes lack.

Get in Touch to Book

Aliée Istanbul is the kind of opening that changes the conversation about what a hotel in Istanbul can be. Paris Society has brought a genuine curatorial sensibility — to the rooms, the food, the wellness, and the atmosphere — that goes beyond what most hotel brands attempt.

If you are planning a trip to Istanbul and want to stay somewhere that earns its price through genuine experience rather than just thread count, this is one of the most compelling options the city currently has to offer. About us

We offer a unique, immersive travel experience across Turkey — not just Istanbul's lesser-known corners, but also the valleys of Cappadocia, the ruins of Ephesus, and the coastlines of Antalya and Bodrum, engaging guests in cultural activities like local home visits, market explorations, and Bosphorus cruises.

What we specialize in, above all, is matching each client with the right professional guide for wherever they're headed in Turkey — though if we're being honest, our roster is still concentrated mostly in Istanbul. As of August 2026, that roster stands at 54 professional tour guides, each one personally vetted rather than pulled from a directory. Most of what we arrange are daily and multi-day private tours, guided primarily in English, with guides available in other languages on request.

We also provide a full range of wheelchair-assisted guided tours, custom itineraries, and specialized tours covering historical, cultural, and niche interests like Jewish heritage, vegan spots, and bird-watching — now paired with a guide roster that reaches Ankara, the Black Sea, and the wider Mediterranean region. We also offer transportation services with professional guides for a more personalized and flexible experience.

Newsletter

The Other Tour is an immersive way to experience Istanbul and the rest of Turkey, led by licensed local guides who take you beyond the tourist spots into the lived culture and quiet corners of Cappadocia, Antalya, Ephesus, Bodrum, and the Mediterranean. We also build personalized travel planning, private tours, and custom itineraries — crafted around what you’re actually curious about, in any region of the country.
